Frequently Asked Questions

"As we look at transitioning to a K–5 model across our elementary schools, one of the things I’m most proud of is what this means for our community, especially at Jefferson. We are essentially strengthening our elementary structure, allowing students to attend school right in their own neighborhood. That sense of pride and connection matters, I know it did for me.

This plan has been years in the making, and it’s rewarding to finally see it come to life. Most importantly, it brings consistency to our students’ educational experience. Instead of moving through multiple configurations, our students will now have a more stable and cohesive path from elementary through high school.

There are also added benefits, including increased instructional time for students, which will support stronger academic outcomes. Overall, this is a thoughtful step forward for our district, one that prioritizes stability, opportunity, and what’s best for our students."
