Meet Isabella Scocozza

Director of Instruction & Funded Programs
The Township of Union Public Schools is committed to maximizing every available resource to support our students, staff, and community. Through strategic use of federal funding and competitive grants, we enhance educational programs, expand student opportunities, and ensure equitable access to quality learning for all. These funds help us provide innovative instructional tools, professional development for educators, and targeted support for students’ academic and social-emotional needs. Our goal is to use these resources responsibly and transparently, ensuring they directly benefit the success and well-being of every learner in our district.

This important work is led by Isabella Scocozza, our dedicated Director of Grants and Federal Funding, who oversees the planning, management, and compliance of all grant-funded programs. Mrs. Scocozza works closely with district leaders, educators, and community partners to identify funding opportunities, secure resources, and ensure they are used effectively to meet the needs of our schools.

Congratulations to Isabella Scocozza, the 2025 National Association of Federal Education Program Administrators State Leadership Award recipient for the entire State of New Jersey. She secured over $7.5 million in grants for educational programs for the Township of Union Public Schools. The collaborative selection process involves stakeholder input and parent engagement strategies, including workshops, which are often funded by these grants. Isabella is motivated by the positive impact on students and remains committed to supporting continuous improvement in education.
