As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting multilingual learners, the Department of Teaching & Learning is pleased to offer a voluntary Sheltered Instruction training for all interested staff.

This interactive session, facilitated by Up the Bar, will explore research-based instructional practices that make grade-level content more accessible to English learners while maintaining high academic expectations for all students.

Participants will:
  • Learn practical sheltered instruction strategies that can be implemented immediately.
  • Explore ways to make rigorous content more accessible while promoting language development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen instructional practices across classrooms.
💼 Participants will earn 3 hours of professional development credit.
