Revised Regulation 2624 – Grading System

Posted Date: 06/18/26 (04:00 PM)

District Staff,

At the most recent Board of Education meeting, the Board approved the revised Regulation 2624 – Grading System. The revised regulation will take effect beginning with the 2026–2027 school year.

This milestone represents the culmination of nearly four years of collaborative work by a committee of more than forty educators, administrators, and stakeholders from across our district. Throughout this process, committee members thoughtfully examined research, reviewed current practices, gathered feedback, and worked together to develop a grading framework that supports student learning while providing clear and consistent communication to families.

At this time, we encourage all staff members to review the newly adopted regulation:

While we are not outlining the specific changes in this communication, it is important that all staff become familiar with the revised regulation. Additional guidance and implementation information will be provided during September and throughout the school year.

As you review the document, you may have questions. To help us prepare upcoming support, please submit any questions or comments using this form: https://tinyurl.com/3j7sywpb

Additionally, please see two letters that will be going out to families regarding grading: Regulation Revision and Standards-Based Grading.

Thank you to the many committee members whose dedication, expertise, and commitment to continuous improvement made this work possible. We look forward to continuing our collective efforts to ensure grading practices accurately reflect student learning and support student success.
